Sociology Research

 

Awa is a PhD student based at Churchill College, Cambridge. She obtained her MPhil from the University of Cambridge, Wolfson College and her MSc from the London School of Economics. Her research examines migration and mobility of Black Muslim diaspora groups in the UK.
Outside of her academic work, Awa is also an award-winning filmmaker and founder of Siman Foundation, an NGO that democratises access to education.

Migration, Socio-economic Mobility; Political Sociology.
