Dr Christoph Wu’s research is situated in the social studies of accounting and finance, financial markets and sustainable finance. Drawing from his experience as a fund manager, he applies financial data analysis, qualitative methods and network analysis to understand organisational change and the social processes of decision-making. His PhD thesis investigates the interactions between central banks and financial market participants and the social networks in which decision-making unfolds.

His more recent research interest focuses on sustainable investment decision-making, the use of Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) metrics among accounting and finance practitioners and what kind of knowledge exchange unfolds in expert groups dedicated to setting accounting standards.
