Sociology Research

I am working an ERC-funded Smart Forests project, led by Dr. Jennifer Gabrys. The project looks at how smart technologies and forest management schemes are converging and what sorts of socio-political relations result from these meetings.
I am also working on my book manuscript, A Resonant Ecology (Duke UP). This work looks at the politics of industrial development through a combination of sound studies, critical Indigenous studies and political ecology. Finally, I am one of four editors on an book anthology celebrating the participants Raven Young Scholars Essay Prize, which recognizes outstanding MA work on critical Indigenous issues in Canada.
