Dr Peggy Watson was the principal investigator of this research project. Dr Watson's main aim in conducting this study was to carry out a comparative study of occupational health and metal manufacture in Poland between 1949 and 1989. The research project was funded by a grant awarded by the Wellcome Trust and it ran from 2002 to 2006.
